Update on my life

From and early age I always enjoyed being crafty. I was born in a town in Holland to my wonderful British parents. We moved around a bit, but eventually settled in Phoenix, Arizona USA. I spent most of my child hood growing up as a desert kid, with my two sisters and brother. We had a wonderful childhood filled with memories I will always cherish.

When I was a senior in high school I became pregnant. I gave birth to an amazing little boy who changed my life forever. I moved home with my mother and father and finished high school. I wouldn't be where I am today without the encouragement, support and love my parents give me. I decided to become a nurse, became a CNA and received a scholarship for nursing school.

At the same time I had made plans to move and live with my future husband, in the UK. In 2008 I gave up my scholarship and moved 5,000 mile away from home to make a new home with our small family and in December 2009 we were married.

In late 2015 my husband and I separated. Divorce was the hardest decision of my life, having given up so much for my husband to move here. In the end it was simply a matter of continuing to be unhappy or having a life that my sons and I deserve.

2016 and 2017 were the hardest years of my life. Having no choice but to leave my beautiful countryside home on the outskirts of Bristol, getting a stressful full time job, and going through a very painful divorce. The boys struggled greatly with the changes to our life. We had to re-home most of our pets and downsize. It wasn't long after that the boys father stopped seeing them and this has been the most difficult thing to deal with.

Nowadays we have been incredibly lucky. I met the love of my life James though the Open University and we now live together in a beautiful home that I could have only dreamed of! Alexander and Luke my two sons have now got a wonderful father figure and a small group of new friends that is growing daily.

I spend my days caring for my boys, attending law school at the Open University. I enjoy photography, knitting, sewing, cooking, gardening, hiking, running and cleaning (notice how cleaning is last...cause I hate it *wink*). Thank you very much for spending time here, it means the world to me.
